Lauren Cross joins Spokane Chiefs to become the first female player on a WHL team. For Chiefs goaltender Joseph Larken, the prospect of a season in the publicity shawdow of the new goalie promises to be a nightmare. Hiding behind a carefully built wall of anger, Joseph is almost relieved by the steroids scandal that knocks Lauren off the team, until he begins to believe she was framed.
